Johnson Orthodontics uses digital technology for all of our orthodontic records.
Digital radiography (X-Rays) has many advantages over traditional film. Most importantly the radiation exposure you will experience with digital radiographs is much less than that compared to traditional film methods. Images can also be viewed immediately with no risk of errors in processing. It is also easier to share these images with other providers that you may need to visit.
We also use a digital scanner to obtain a “digital model” of your teeth. This is great news for kids and adults who don’t like gagging on gooey impression materials. It also makes life easier for us, as we can send digital models to our laboratory for quicker and more accurate fabrication of orthodontic appliances.
